Our most recent  feedback .........

We had a lovely overnight stay in a deluxe room (Raja). The room was spacious and clean with good amenities. We stayed for dinner, bed and breakfast. The service at dinner was a little slow but we were in no hurry and the food was beautifully presented and delicious. We particularly enjoyed the space dust truffles!! Again, the following morning breakfast service was a little slow but the food delicious.
Upon checking out we had to wait for a receptionist, but we weren't in a hurry and the receptionist was very apologetic. Ii would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to fellow travellers.

Trip Advisor Review 14th August 2010

We called The Bath Arms on the morning of our intended stay and were offered a really good 'late availability' price so we snapped it up - and we're so pleased we did!

After leaving Longleat (by car) we were at the hotel within 5 minutes. We were greeted with friendly smiles and made to feel very welcome immediately. There was a light-hearted feel to the place and all the staff which we really enjoyed. We were shown to our room, 'The Hummingbird' which whilst not large (but by no means tiny), was beautifully decorated with everything you could need for a comfortable stay - including an extremely comfortable bed and a beautiful view.

After drinks in the garden friends of ours joined us for dinner (bar menu) and everyone was impressed with their food. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly.

It was a hot day and a fairly muggy night but with the window open and a nice breeze coming in we both slept very well and didn't hear a peep out of anyone else in the hotel during the night.

Breakfast was fantastic. We were the first people downstairs and were greeted by Danni (who had also been working the night before) who is just lovely! She made everything feel very relaxed and provided an excellent service.

Staying at The Bath Arms topped off a fantastic day at Longleat and was the start of another fantastic day at Monkey World and Durdle Door. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anybody and if we need to stay in the area again we will definitely be staying here! Thanks to all the staff (unfortunately don't know all the names) for a great stay!

Our stay was wonderful. Even though many of the staff are young they are so efficient and good at their job. They are so lovely.

My partner and I stay at the Bath Arms Hotel at Longleat this weekend; I feel it only appropriate to add this review as some of the reviews do not give the Hotel justice.
Our stay was FANTASTIC, were greeted by Jamie on Friday afternoon with a big smile, Jamie worked tirelessly all weekend and he continued to have that smile, he made our weekend very relaxing.
The food was excellent absolutely no complaints, the rooms all be it a bit quirky, were clean and very comfortable, the reception manager Michelle was very helpful giving us directions into Bath and recommending places to see.
We will defiantly use Hillbrooke Hotels again and we will return to the Bath Arms this year, thank you again

Met up with a friend who lived in the area, stayed at the hotel, and 'entertained' friends at dinner and lunch the following day. Had been there before it was done up and was very impressed with the changes. Arrived from London in time for drinks on the terrace in the garden before dinner. Immediately felt miles away from work and hectic life. Hotel has been done up with style and comfort in mind. We were in a twin room, which was very nice, though beds were in slightly strangely placed. But beds had lovely linen and were very comfortable. Thoughtful and spoiling touches in the rooms - teapigs teabags and gorgeous shampoos/body lotions etc. Also, had a look round all the other rooms and they were extremely nice. All in a different style. Would probably opt for rooms in the main building if chose, though the annexe was bang next door and very comfortable. Food was delicious and service excellent - everyone was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the hotel and the area. Godminster vodka is also worth a try - liked so much that I bought some to take away with me! Really enjoyed our visit and hope to return again this summer.

From start to finish the Bath Arms was a pleasant surprise. Our room (Little Sparrow) was a good size, and well decorated in an unusual and in my view very tasteful way. It contained a large comfortable bed, with beautiful bedding, bath robes, quality tea/coffee, bottled water, a small bottle of local alcoholic niceness, biscuits, great soaps/shampoos and a flat screen television with lots of channels.
The restaurant menu had variety and locally sourced meat and seasonal vegetables. We stayed for two nights, the menu didn't change which meant I could try other mouth watering dishes. I thought the food was exceptional. This continued at breakfast when one morning I had a excellent full English and the first morning poached eggs and smoked salmon.
The staff were friendly and directed us to good walks in the area. I also had a massage which was very good.
I had a very relaxing and enjoyable break at the Baths Arms and would very much like to return.

"Just returned from 2 nights at the Bath Arms for an anniversary weekend and have to say the Bath Arms is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were always helpful and polite. Our bedroom, the Oriental, was fabulously decorated with a huge ornate bed frame and the attention to detail in the room was amazing.

The food in the restaurant was lovely and I was particularly impressed when I asked about a vegetarian option as all items on the menu were meat/fish and I was told the chef would cook me anything I fancied.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a special weekend away. Perfect for a Longleat weekend or a relaxing break." 12th May 2008

"The hotel is REALLY close to Longleat Safari Park so we had some lovely walks and spent a day at the Safari Park. So close we could even hear the Lions roaring at night!!

The best steak I've ever eaten and I've eaten a few in my time." November 2008

"All the staff have been lovely, a very warm welcome. We enjoyed our stay so much we cannot think of anything to complain about which is veryt unusual for us. Thank you so much, we will be back." November 2008

Magazines:

Shooting Gazette Hotel Guide 2007

"The restaurant makes a point of keeping things simple and does a good job of it too. Both dinner and breakfast are good and the ambience is certainly conducive to a good meal."

Sky Magazine July 2008

"The décor is eccentric British at its best, with homely quilts, elegant wood carvings and leopard-print throws."

Sunday Telegraph February 2008

"My room was heaven. Pub bedrooms, assorted sizes, with real panache: quirky, boldly coloured and full of character. Great people, great location and great bedrooms."

The Sunday Times February 2008

"There is an exuberance about the 15 bedrooms - think ornate sconces, exquisite marquetry, four-posters and roll-top baths. Every one is spacious, oddly shaped and aptly themed."

Country Living May 2008

"From the outside it looks every bit the country house hotel, but the interior is far from stuffy and old-fashioned. Each of the 15 bedrooms has a different feel, but all have an air of flamboyance.

This hotel has its feet very firmly on the ground. The public bar is popular with locals and the food is unpretentious, local and with an emphasis on traditional curing techniques."
